Landon Now

Landon is a little love of a child. He's so sweet and he's a great baby. But you can barely keep up with him these days. At 8 months, he's crawling all over and pulling up on the furniture. He's always busy and is just starting to show signs of having a temper. He doesn't like for you to take things away from him! He's also VERY bright. Four people swear that at Dakota's birthday party, he said "What is that?" while holding on to his shoes. Although it seems unlikely given his age, I do say that when we put shoes on him because he's usually messing with them. But he does pick up on how to do things almost immediately. And he is a good mimic of sounds. Thus far, he's repeated "Hi," "Dada," "Mmmmm," "Done," and "OK." We're still working on "MaMa." :-) And his father taught him how to "fake laugh." It's cute.

And he loves his Daddy. They play and laugh together a lot. There is nothing Landon likes better than having someone talk to him and play with him. Especially his brother. He smiles his head off whenever he sees Dakota. (Unfortunately, at least half the time, Dakota acts like he doesn't exist.) He's a really good eater and seems to like cereal, bananas, and carrots more than anything else. He does NOT like meat. (Of course, baby food meat is a lot like cat food so who can blame him?)

Landon is a hugger and kisser. If you hold him up to your neck, he puts his arms around you and squeezes. And he's always trying to kiss (or is it bite?) your face. Well, he's gotta use his one little tooth somehow!
